Super Safari – Desert Experience is made for anyone who wants sand, speed, and a bit of local culture in one easy outing. Your day starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Hurghada (or nearby areas if arranged). You ride in a minibus out of town to the safari base, where the desert tracks begin. The air feels drier, the horizon looks wider, and you get that “we are really out here” feeling in minutes.
At the base, the guide gives clear safety rules and shows you how the vehicles work. You do a short practice so you can get used to the controls before the longer ride. You can choose a quad bike or a buggy, depending on what you book. Quads are single riders and feel more direct. Buggies are great if you want to sit with a partner or a child as a passenger.
Once everyone is ready, you head off in a line with the guide leading. The route uses open tracks, so you have room to ride without feeling squeezed. You will stop a few times for photos and to let the group stay together. The views are classic Red Sea desert: sand, rock, and low mountains in the distance. If you go in the late afternoon, the light gets soft and golden, which makes photos look brilliant.
After the ride, you slow things down with a short camel encounter. The camel ride is gentle and mainly for the experience and pictures. Staff help you get on and off, and you can skip the ride if you prefer. Next, you visit a Bedouin-style camp. You can sit for a drink of herbal tea and taste simple bread, and the guide explains a few basics about desert life, like how people plan around heat and water.
As the sun drops, the tour usually includes a sunset pause in a good spot. It is quieter, cooler, and feels like a proper break after the driving. Back at the camp, you get a BBQ dinner. Meals often include grilled chicken or kofta, rice, salad, and vegetables. Vegetarian plates are often possible if you tell us early.
To finish, there is a short show at the camp before you head back to your hotel. It is relaxed and suitable for families. You arrive back in the evening, with sand on your shoes and a camera full of desert shots.
We collect you from your hotel (Hurghada, El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh or Makadi). You’ll sit in an air-conditioned minibus and head towards the desert base. On the way, your guide goes through the simple rules so you feel confident before you ride.
At the base, you get a quick introduction, a helmet, and a short practice ride. If you pick a quad, you’ll learn how to start, stop, turn, and keep a safe gap. If you pick a buggy, you’ll learn the belts and the basics. You can ask for help as many times as you like.
This is the main ride. You’ll follow the guide on wide tracks with plenty of space. The pace is fun but controlled. You get photo pauses so you can take desert shots without rushing.
After the ride, you meet the camels for a short, gentle ride. It’s slow, simple, and great for photos. If you’d rather not ride, you can still take pictures from the ground.
